Point of Shoes – International Fair for Fashion, Materials and Production

Welcome to Point of Shoes, or PoS for short, the new industry forum for the leather and footwear sector!

The next Point of Shoes show will tbe held on the 29th and 30th of September 2010.

Point of Shoes made its debut at Pirmasens on the 14th and 15th of April 2010 – a city traditionally associated with the footwear industry and characterised by a unique concentration and breadth of knowledge pertaining to the footwear sector.

Point of Shoes is the venue for fashion materials and components, as well as for technologies and services, for the footwear and leather industries. Yet it is far more than just a meeting place for exhibitors and show attendees: The PoS concept aims to intensify communication between experts.

And how does it intend to achieve that goal? Each PoS show addresses a new Keynote Topic, and offers relevant workshops and discussions. The Keynote Topic of the April show was “Fit & Comfort”. In September it will be "Fashion Meets Function" – focussing on functional materials.

Point of Shoes is organised by the International Shoe Competence Center Pirmasens, or ISC Germany for short, a teaching and research centre for the leather and footwear industry and for the trade.

ISC Germany is a subsidiary of the Test and Research Institute Pirmasens (PFI) and supervises international projects in the leather and footwear sector, from materials and machines via production all the way to marketing and sales.
